Founded by a licensed Bay Area Paramedic, with clinical partnership from a Bay Area ER Registered Nurse (RN). Built for families who want to be prepared before they need it.
Steven, Founder, Licensed Paramedic, CPST Certified, AHA Heartsaver Instructor
The Paramedic.
Steven has spent 10 years in Bay Area EMS, with first-hand experience across Napa, Sonoma, Contra Costa, Solano, and San Francisco counties. He has responded to calls involving young children where the outcome was shaped by something that could have been prevented. He carries those calls with him.
When his son was born, and then his daughter, he understood the gap differently. Even as a Paramedic, making sure his own home was safe for his 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter was harder than he expected. He founded Before Baby to close that gap for Bay Area families. On every visit he leads, Steven personally handles car seat installation, the room-by-room child proof planning, and every element of the service.

Megan, ER Nurse, RN, CPST Certified, AHA Heartsaver Instructor
The ER Registered Nurse.
Megan has spent her career as a Bay Area emergency room Registered Nurse, where she has seen firsthand what infant and pediatric emergencies look like from the receiving end. On every visit, she leads the hands-on certification covering CPR, choking response, AED use, and pediatric first aid, and manages every element of the visit from start to finish.
She joined Before Baby because the families she saw in the ER deserved the preparation before the call, not after it.

Our team
Independent practitioners. Consistent standard.
Steven and Megan each perform visits independently, bringing their respective clinical expertise directly to your home. As Before Baby grows, additional licensed practitioners who meet our credentialing standards will join the team, so every family receives the same level of expertise regardless of who walks through their door.
