Guide · Bay Area CPR
In-home infant CPR training across the Bay.
Private, in-home infant and child CPR training across San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and the East Bay. Taught by an AHA Heartsaver Instructor.
Why private in-home CPR
Group CPR classes work, but they were not designed for new parents holding a newborn, caregivers with limited English, or grandparents who travel in for a few weeks at a time. An in-home session lets us slow down on the parts you actually care about, infant choking, infant CPR, AED use, and the calm-the-room steps that come before any of it.
Most Bay Area families book a single 90-minute session for two to six people: parents, a partner, a nanny or au pair, and visiting grandparents. Every adult who completes the session receives an AHA Heartsaver certification card valid for two years.
What an AHA Heartsaver Pediatric session covers
- Infant choking response, including back blows and chest thrusts on a real-size manikin.
- Infant and child CPR, with compression-only and rescue-breath ratios.
- AED use on infants and children, including pad placement on small chests.
- When and how to call 911 in San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and the East Bay.
- Pediatric first aid basics, fever, burns, head injury, and febrile seizure response.
Where we teach
We come to homes across San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda, Contra Costa, and parts of Santa Clara and Sonoma. There is no studio to drive to, no parking to find, and no babysitter to book. The CPR training is included in every Before Baby Visit, or you can book CPR as a standalone in-home session.
